"How many romantic science-fiction comedies exist? TiMER has stuck with me for years since I saw it, not just because of the premise but because it explored that premise thoroughly. And it does this while remembering to create fun and relatable characters who feel real. Don't expect hard science here. This is a film about how society and individual people would be different if we knew we had actual soulmates and knew when we would find them, but not where! The characters are all built to explore various possibilities but also feel like more than their individual premises. By the end, even though you know the film has said all it needs to say, you'll still want to know more about their lives and will come to miss them. Any movie that makes you miss the characters at the end has really done its job well. "
