"This slow paced but dramatic sci-fi movie, an Oscar Nominee of 198o, was inspired by a real-life project at MIT called Protect Icarus. A group of American scientists, starring Sean Connery and Carl Malden, team up with Russian scientists, played by Natalie Wood and Brian Keith to stop an asteroid from hitting Earth. There is a lot of tension, scenes of space, missiles, and anger filled tablet sessions at the White House. There was a good amount of suspense, and the acting was good, but not great."
