"Starts out good, but loses its bite as it goes on. I'm not going to lie: I was a little disappointed that it was a supernatural horror rather than psychological, but I digress. Many of the rules of how the ghosts in this world work feel arbitrary and poorly thought out. About three quarters through the movie the writers decided to abandon all rationale and decency and try to have the audience sympathize with a confederate soldier who killed six innocents post-war. The last I'll say is that this movie didn't need a twist but, if the writers felt that they needed one so desperately, they could have chosen one that wasn't so convoluted."
