"It's so difficult to conceptualize our place in the universe. Our sense of time is so limited that we can barely comprehend 1,000 years, let alone 13.8 billion years ago. Terrence Malick does a masterful job of combining stunning cinematography of the natural wonders of earth and arresting sound design, to paint a picture of the early days of the universe. A beautiful, life-affirming interpretation of how we came into existence. 45 minutes was the perfect length for this style of existential visual poem."
