Decades since their successful television series was canceled, Chip has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale, meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.

"In a long string of soulless, nostalgia-baiting cash grab film adaptations, I’m honestly shocked to say Chip n Dale on Disney+ is…NOT one such film. Yeah, there’s some cringey jokes here and there but also an intriguing mystery, an exciting, fast-faced story, clever worldbuilding that takes the Roger Rabbit concept another 5 or 6 steps forward, and a few good fake-outs. The reveal of the villain behind the bootlegs hits a bit too close (if you look into the actual context behind it) but I won’t spoil it, and I’ll say there’s a decent twist accomplice that I didn’t see coming. Overall, pretty great. "
