"3½⭐️ [Leaving Hulu 6/30/24] I understand this movie is the first of the trilogy. I found the two sequels on Netflix at this time (as of 6/29/24): "Beyond Skyline" (2017) and "Skylines" (2020) I added these to my list to watch in the future."

"A very underrated movie imo"

"Finally watched this after 13 years because I saw a recommendation for Above Skyline and it looks damn cool so I wanted to watch part 1. The actual story is a typical aliens invading earth and a group of people do a mix of running and fighting kinda story. The dialogue is sometimes unbelievable and silly, but the actual aliens and special effects are amazing, and the fighting is action packed. What amazed me is when I looked this movie up to find out it costs between 10-20 million to make and it made about 90 million in theaters to make 4x its budget. To compare, Indy 5 cost 300 million and just broke even this past weekend. People need to go back and watch this movie to see how to make a special effects heavy movie for a fraction of what they're spending these days just to break even or lose money."
