"I'll admit it: I wanted to love this. Goldie Hawn, the eternal queen of charm, stars alongside Burt Reynolds in this 1982 rom com. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm far out weighed my actual enjoyment of the movie.
The pacing moved along like a sleepy Sunday afternoon, leaving me checking my watch more often than I'd care to admit. It's a shame, really, because the cast is undeniably talented, and the premise had potential.
Perhaps my expectations were too high. It's not a bad film by any means, but it's certainly not the laugh out loud, feel good classic I'd hoped for.
If you're a die-hard Goldie Hawn fan like myself, you'll still find moments to cherish. Or it might leave you, like me, wondering what could've been."
