"So I watched it. I saw the trailer while looking for new movies and decided I'd give it a try. It's exactly what you expect in a way. It's very Fern Gully, meets Maleficent, meets disney romance, with a touch of Beauty and the Beast. It's not that it's necessarily bad. But you will feel like you've seen it before due to how predictable it can be.
However, the ending is when the story shines. After a certain point, you can both feel and see where the plot is coming from. Since it's made for kids the real overarching message and point it's trying to make shows up near the end, making for a very forced and clearly gonna happen moment, but it's fine. If you haven't seen any of the movies I mentioned before, it might feel great and unique even. Otherwise, you're going to feel like you're watching those movies over again.
Now for the visuals. It's enchanting. Everything is so beautiful to look at. Even the ugly things are just kind of breathtaking. Although, it can come back to bite them. If you're watching this in English, you're going to see how bad the dubbing of said movie was. There are quite a few moments the words never match the mouth or even just look wrong. It's not awful. But it is apparent. Still, I loved watching this movie. It's not something I adored to watch, but it was something I loved seeing. Character designs, scenery, and even the lighting were just awe-inspiring.
Now, it isn't dreamworks visuals by any means, though. You can tell it's cheaper animation, but the actual scenes and characters are so distinct that you don't see something like them. The problem being there isn't a lot of variety in that moment. Even when all the characters come together, there are maybe 20 people on screen. So yeah. . .
Still for an unknown movie out of wherever I don't think it did that bad of a job. I might even rewatch it way down the line. It was sweet and pretty. Which is kind of the point, after you watch it you'll understand. "
