"My wife and I rarely agree on movies. So it's difficult to find one that appeals to both of us. A Simple Favor is one that we both loved. This dark comedy/mystery/thriller was surprisingly good. Anna Kendrick was perfectly cast as the nerdy but charming single mom and Blake Lively was brilliant as the confident but mysterious new friend. Full of twists and turns, when you think you know the direction it's heading, it surprises you and goes a different way. Chock full of biting dark humor and things moved along at a good pace. We both enjoyed this gem of a flick. 8.5/10"
"Not sure what others saw in this, but to me it was just a dumb senseless story with an equally dumb name. Anna Kendrick has been in a few mediocre movies but I can't fathom why she'd be in something like this. Like, it was so bad it almost seemed intentionally ironic, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't.
Alright I'm done complaining."
"I am gonna give it a five for originality, acting and many funny moments. specially Anna Kendrick her bubbly side is so hard not to love, Blake Lively as the antagonist and Henry Golding all of them were just wonderful. A hidden Jewel film, barely saw this today 5/19/23 and came out in 2018. Totally recommend it. A thriller/suspenseful film but with a twist of dark comedy."
