"I think this movie is intriguing if you have never seen it before. As you don't know what bizarre thing is gonna happen next. Having seen it before and having no memory of it, I now think it's terrible. I really need to remember if I watched a movie after a surgery or not. For some reason pain killers make movies so much better than they actually are. "
"Well, it is a good movie. It is definitely 100% R rated, but it's fun-ish. The moments where she lies can be a bit cringey. But they got the guy from Leverage so I was going to be kind of biased.
I think the overall message it makes is very heartwarming, but again, those R rated moments can be rather cringey. I know it's supposed to be comedy but there's laughing out loud comedy, then just straight up uncomfortable comedy. And honestly it's a lot of that last one. But I don't watch it for that I watch it for that underlying feel good parts. Like I said it is heartwarming, it is also a tad much at times.
Shes clearly trying to push the I'm a woman & I'm just as good as a man thing that a lot of movies force down your throat these days. However, she comes to the realization that she's in the wrong by doing this. It's incredibly refreshing & she still manages to grow as a person. It's good. It gets under your skin by being refreshing & you have to watch it again. At least, that's what it did for me."
"A spin-off of What Women Want with Mel Gibson but more current; and it is fire! Taraji is slaying in some fabulous outfits and taking on the male counterparts at the agency they work at. With some hysterical moments and some adorable and touching ones, this movie is a great balance of comedy and drama."
"This movie "What Men Want” showcases Taraji P. Henson's undeniable talent, yet the portrayal of the "strong black woman" archetype can occasionally come across as one-dimensional and cold. While not a fan of such a fixed role, the storyline manages to keep you engaged, making the movie worth a watch."
"Actually hilarious "
