"I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I honestly didn't know anything going into this other than it takes place in Iceland. But it surprisingly had really strong themes like poverty, deportation, and connection along with the way they handled them really made it stand out. The connection between the mother, the women, and the boy was really heartwarming and I was surprised on how they made the viewer care in such a short amount of time. The plot almost felt magical with how they all met each other but at the same time grounded in the everyday realities of people. It showed how the system treats immigrants, how poverty is like in Iceland, and even with all those factors the women and the mother were still able to show kindness to one another and in the end help each other through it🫶."
