The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

"I am a dyed in the wool Tolkien fan. So I was excited for the movie. Then they said it would be three movies. Well... This was a short children's book that was fleshed out unnecessarily in my opinion. As a dragon lover, I enjoyed the time with Smaug but some stuff (the random she elf added for a love story with one of the dwarves that didn't appear in the book for instance), really got on my nerves. That said, I like this first movie and it's the one I rewatch. "

Now keep in mind I watched these before LOTR at the behest of family because they said I wouldn't enjoy the hobbit movies if I had watched them in theatrical order. I agree.
