"I honestly don’t know if I don’t like this movie or if I like it. There was just so much wrong with this movie that it really took away from the whole storyline. Like why are these people driving while they are drunk and high it just doesn’t add up too me. And I was expecting like romance in this but all it there was were hookups that didn’t go nowhere. Also I found many of the characters unlikable besides a select few. "
"I love this movie. It’s so sad people get it confused with THE edge of seventeen, and in my opinion that plot line isn’t even good. I can relate to it. It’s a pretty sad ending, but worth a watch"

"This movie is a time capsule of queer life, sure it’s dramatized and outdated, but parts of the story are familiar. There’s the toxicity of early relationships, when you’ll take whatever relationship you’re given in a small town. The road from food service to drinking and drugs. I mostly enjoy when they focus on queer friendship, as it’s just as important as queer love.
Worth the watch. I think its a great background movie, I might put it on while I’m cleaning or at a party on mute (it’s easy to read visually).
Glad this movie was able to be made and have so many blatant and clear queer characters."
"thought it was gonna be bad (mainly just cause i have a hard time starting movies) but it doesn't have too much suspense and it honestly feels like a little slice of life film about a teen boy who is finding himself. I appreciate how open he is to wearing makeup and changing his style to what he wants especially in the 80s in high school"
