A small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.

"One of the main complaints you see of this movie is lack of character development and it’s true. However, it’s not because of terrible writing or uninteresting screenplay as both of those are the complete opposite. This film based on true events written by one of the soldiers themselves has an incredible story of resilience and writing that helps connect the viewer to the reality of the situation. Where it falls short is giving enough time to develop the characters as it introduces the viewer to over 10 people within the first 5-10 minutes. Don’t let that deter you if you’re on the fence about this film. Just go into it knowing this was a real situation and understanding what it feels like to be in the middle of it. 7/10"
