"A Christmas film with Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, Rachel Weisz, Kathy Bates, and Elizabeth Banks? It surely has to be good, right? Unfortunately, Fred Claus falls flat, is way too long, and left me bored by the time the credits rolled. It's a great idea and there are some good moments - especially the street Santa chase scene and Siblings Anonymous (featuring Frank Stallone & Stephen Baldwin) - but it's not one I'd choose to watch every Christmas."
" There’s a lot of humor we’ve seen in Elf already, like a tall guy in the North Pole. Having to sleep in small elf beds and etc.
The film also is more grown-ups than kids through most of the movie. With Fred mostly an unlikable jerk.
Kevin Spacey as lawyer trying to ruin Christmas has better scenes with Paul Giamatti. It is a little too late until we like Fred.

"I grew up watching this movie and when I was a kid, really enjoyed it. Upon rewatching as an adult, I still like it and think it's a cute film. However, I'm now noticing that some of the CGI is giving an uncanny valley feeling and some jokes are a little overdone. Don't get me wrong; I still like the film and Vince Vaughn. It feels like a silly Christmas movie like Elf and The Santa Claus. But it was far better when I was a child.
