It was said best in a review I liked:

Don't get me wrong, this movie has a distinct style, and it may not be for some, but I really enjoyed it. It still feels a bit more grounded than a Lanthimos film though.
The framing and cinematography are beautiful.
Give this movie a shot if you're in the mood for something that is awkward, heartfelt, and at times, really damn funny
