"This movie hit me in the exact Right Way. It might be the perfect romcom. It’s hilarious, heartbreakingly romantic, stylish as hell and I know we’re not supposed to comment on on appearances anymore but I’ll take the smoke; not only is every actor in this movie breathtakingly beautiful but also sexy as hell. This includes star and producer Gabrielle Union, who gives an award winning performance surrounded by several great performances from the rest of the cast. A+ by the director. Makes me want to run out and read the book. "

"This wasn’t to my liking of how I enjoy romantic films also there are a few wild scenes so beware it’s nothing crazy, but just to be on the lookout. "

"I love Gina Torres and Gabrielle Union, and an all Black cast. It looked like it's based off a book (it is) and they took some shortcuts (probably bc of that). They didn't give us enough to understand their supposed rivalry and the ending made me wonder why they made that choice. Their wasn't enough background to make the story good. It's a two ⭐️ movie but gave it 3 ⭐️ for Gina, Gabrielle, and the all Black cast ✊🏾"
