"This is one incredible film! A story that shows a fixer trying to distract the public from a sexual misconduct scandal just before the election by creating a fake war, this is both a very biting satire and a commentary with increasingly disturbing relevance that shows just how effectively a person with power can use smokescreens to distract people from the real issues (this is especially true when considering the times we live in today in the age of TikTok and social media, and how it has proven to influence public perception and opinion on a wide range of issues). A phenomenally well-written screenplay (co-written by David Mamet) with great comedic timing paired with actors playing off each other really well (particularly Robert De Niro as the fixer and Dustin Hoffman as a Hollywood producer helping him in the smokescreen story). Phenomenal performances across the board (especially by Hoffman (well-deserved nomination for him) and De Niro (MVP of the film for me and should’ve been nominated as well IMO), as well as Anne Heche and even Willie Nelson among others) and also editing. This is a film that deserves a lot of views, and is also one of the best political films made, especially given the relevance to today. Very highly recommended."

"Good movie and and still pretty relevant if you think about how people consume their news today. Worth watching."
