"Extremely interesting horror steeped in ancient Jewish culture. I thought it was fascinating. "

"i was kinda surprised to genuinely like this movie, i expected it to be one of those run of the mill spend the night with a corpse supernatural movies but there was real depth behind it. maybe it was the added jewish concepts that i don’t believe i’ve seen before in a horror movie, or maybe it was the main characters mental health struggles that added another layer to the film. whatever it was, i thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. "I watched this one with someone who explained a lot of the symbolism and Judaica you see in the film, and it enhanced my viewing of "The Vigil" so much more. I related to the parts where Yakov couldn't tell if the things around him were really happening, or if it was his mental illness and meds causing him to see things. An unusual and scary exorcism flick."
"Super creepy!"
