It's a dreary Christmas 1944 for the American POWs in Stalag 17 and the men in Barracks 4, all sergeants, have to deal with a grave problem—there seems to be a security leak.

"Although one of my favourite films of this genre is The Great Escape, this film is very good. I had heard of this film before, but I wasn't in a hurry to see it. But I am glad that I did. I liked seeing William Holden in a role that he was entirely comfortable playing. There is a great ensemble cast, and a good amount of suspense. Thank you, @aditya_7055 for suggesting this film to me."
"Fantastically well written, acted, and directed. Great performances especially by William Holden (well-deserved Oscar win for him), as well as Otto Preminger, Peter Graves, and Robert Strauss. Surprisingly funny at times too. Billy Wilder really deserves to be ranked among the greats. Highly recommended."
