"This movie is a fun and strange mixture of action and sci-fi with a dash of horror. Chloe Grace Moretz plays the role of military personnel carrying a top secret package during a dangerous mission in WWII. Her co-stars are Beulah Koale and Taylor John Smith. The movie looks to praise women in uniform, but is wrapped in a sci-fi. Chloë's character Garrett battles a strange enemy while aboard the B-17 and enemy territory. I was entertained throughout the movie, although there are scenes that are absolutely unbelievable. But that is part of the fun. Just enjoy the ride, and don't ask too many questions! 😉 The final credits contain brief footage of female pilots and other military personnel during WWII. "
"Woman = powerful badass bitch
This was interesting how the majority of the movie has Chloe's character in the Sperry ball turret on the undercarriage of the bomber plane, closed off from the rest of the crew and only able to communicate through the comm system.
She is treated disgustingly by the males on board, but she never wavers from her "mission," which you'll have to watch to find out what it is.
She is one tough cookie, though, and neither the Japanese nor monsters are a match for her. I really can't say much more than that.
There is plenty of air warfare action as well as monster action. I think you'll like it.
Watch the end credits for some historical videos of real-life WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) getting ready for action. There is even a lesbian kiss for her partner sitting in a plane, getting ready to fly."
"Oh, heck yeah! This was a blast. The film opens with a very direct indication to the problems that will befall our cast, then it takes our lead and isolates her visually to the audience forcing a personal connection developing as the problems unfold. This movie perfectly times it’s pivot to being wildly over the top in the climax after having the audience invest in it’s lead. #wild #overthetop #fun "
