"I liked the graphics, some scenes that were trying to be funny just weren’t funny to me and only a few scenes were funny. I didn’t like one scene where they mentioned the word “groin” because I am aware that a lot of kids will and have seen this movie and maybe them not knowing about that or catching it but the parents will catch it and I don’t find that right. "Took me 2 attempts to watch this. Mainly because it started off very childish. But needing something a lot lighter I finally watched it. I honestly don’t think I liked this more than the first. Heard a lot of people say this was better. But still enjoyed the tom and Sonic dynamic. Plus it made me laugh a lot more. A lot more action and overall more fun. But I mainly just didn’t care for the tails and sonic dynamic. Which was probably my biggest issue. To me personally which could honestly only be me. Sonic and Tom had a lot more chemistry. I like tails but him and sonic don’t really bicker at all. They just immediately become friends. I just wanted more to it really. Complaints were obviously the human parts. But didn’t find myself dreading them as much as in godzkilla vs kong. The over used music in certain scenes. The dialogue at times. Mainly just the hero stuff. Gonna sound like a broken record but. They don’t need to dumb down the message just because it’s a kids movie. Lots of funny moments throughout. Mainly just shocking moments that I laughed at. Sonic and Robotnik of course were good. But knuckles was definitely the highlight. Love his dialogue and humor honestly. Unintentional humor which is why I liked it more. Plus loved his fight scenes. But mainly finally gave in watching this. Because of sonic 3. Damn I can’t wait to see shadow. Thinking about it now. Really don’t know much about the characters. Mainly just sonic because of YouTube videos. But not much even then. It improved on a lot but also added unnecessary things in my opinion."

"I loved the 1st movie & I'd been waiting for this one. It gave me the 2 things I wanted. More of the wife & Dr. Stone. Of course wanted more Jim Carrey & Sonic but that was a given. & they delivered on my 2 wants. So why was I still disappointed? I think it's because it focused less on the buddy relationship & threw that away to be the parents of sonic more. Heck Tom is rather forgettable outside 1 moment. The jokes were also weak except for certain sections of the story. Plus, Robotonik somehow knew Tom had a wife & dog yet didn't mention that in the 1st. He also went straight to the mushroom planet after seeing her so there's no way he knew, right? That's not a big critique though. When it came to the 1st there were lines that stuck w/me & I adored. Like Robot "should we just call her collateral damage?" I adore that beyond all comprehension. There were plenty of lines like that. But this 1 was more focused on heartfelt so no lines truly stuck out except the cliche better together & whatnot lines. Also Sonic is clearly an animated character, he doesn't blend w/the background. & forget times they touch him. Despite that, I do like the movie. It definitely focuses more on the game aspect & I enjoy Robotonik still. Loved Stone & wifes larger roles too. I felt like they gave her a larger role in the wrong way. They wanted women empowerment, have her save them but it felt forced & weak. Like she didn't do much & what she did took little effort. I loved the marriage. Truly was not expecting that, yet I enjoyed it a ton. Ending moment with them kind of dumb tho. I'm not sure about Sonics aversion to water since that wasn't addressed at all in the 1st movie. I'm not gonna spoil anything but you get what you kind of expect. The 1st was really good & thoughtout. Not a masterpiece but you got what you needed. This one felt like they watched the 1st but didn't watch it a 2nd time when making the script. On its own it's fine & it's not the worst sequel, it just lost its core."
