"This movie deals with the heavy topic of human trafficking, particularly, children for the purpose of satisfying the sick and twisted urges of pedophiles. Based on a true story, this can be a difficult one to watch. But it is a necessary one.
We, as a society, would like to believe that slavery no longer exists, but that's not the case. According to the text at the end of the film... "There are more humans trapped in slavery today than any other time in history - including when slavery was legal." - "Millions of these slaves are children."
Equal parts heartbreaking and infuriating the viewer still gets a glimmer of hope that there will be some form of justice, no matter how small, due to the efforts of people like Tim Ballard. These people should be showered with the highest praise for the work that they do, instead of actors and pop stars. The movie has a little bit of a lengthy runtime but it's hardly noticeable. I was engrossed in the plot and the well being of the characters. I highly recommend this movie, it needs to be seen by as many people as possible. I would give it a higher rating, but it was a little bit depressing so... 8.5/10"
"I saw this in theatres, and literally knew nothing of the plot - hadn't seen a trailer, read a description or reviews, or even checked out the movie poster. I even went the whole movie thinking it was called "Son of Freedom". Anyway, somebody invited me to see this and bought my ticket, and I hope more people do this. The movie revolves around the heavy topic of human trafficking, specifically that of children, and is based on a true story. With a runtime of more than 2hrs, time really flew by for me, I was intrigued the whole time and ultimately super impressed with the production. The movie even features a song from Shakira, and if you watch Latin novelas/shows you may recognize some faces in the cameos! There are scenes in Spanish but English subtitles were provided. 10/10 recommend!"
"I’ve never seen so much fake outrage and misinformation surrounded by film like this ever. The discourse around this movie is never ending. The movie itself isn’t bad and it’s connected to a very important topic. Human trafficking of kids all that other stuff shouldn’t even matter. "

"This movie is still under the radar because there is no $ to promote it (unlike Barbie which has flocked so many, sad but true). So the producers are dependent on a word of mouth and on social media. It has been stopped various times from getting produced. For those of you who deny this disgusting industry exists, one child getting kidnapped for any reason is enough to raise awareness to protect kids primarily in poor countries AND raise awareness within these kids also who don’t know any better. This movie has ruffled some feathers yes and I probably would guess it’s because of the mention of US at the end of the movie. I will leave it at that. A must see. #God’s children are not for sale. "

"I heavily avoided watching this like the plague because of all the political crap surrounding this movie but it was my husband's turn to pick a movie and i reluctantly agreed for him to put it on this movie was not what I was expecting whatsoever I totally thought it was like a documentary or like an exposure film. I was surprised to find it was actual movie based on a true story. I found it very hard to watch definitely proceed with caution when watching this one. "
"please be aware that this film is made by a conspiracy theorist who regularly and actively interferes with real anti-trafficking operations and lies about his activism. do your research, don't be sucked in by pastel qAnon trying to manipulate you. https://www.tiktok.com/@bloodbathandbeyond/video/7255310706864672043"
"EVERYONE should watch this movie! It is phenomenally produced and revolves around the disturbing topic of human trafficking specifically that of children. Every scene in this movie captured my attention and I was glued to the screen from beginning to end. This sends a powerful message that society is ignoring that these sick crimes against children are on the rise. It also is a touching story about brave individuals who made it their mission to help save so many. I recommend this movie to everyone. "
