"I was curious about this story. It's terrifying how the rigors of fulfilling a mission can lead to alienation, to the point of not having a sense of observation or believing the warnings he received. Onoda lives in his own reality in the name of a mission, where he can never surrender, he lives in a war that no longer exists, he has never faced or heard any of the sounds of war.
The movie overdoes it in being long and slow, it has great performances and tries to show something poetic, like resilience and heroism, but it just made me feel sorry for him."
"Worth watching, if it sounds interesting you’ll probably like it. Subtitles."
