"My son and I read the books together and they lean into the ridiculousness and embraces it. That said this is a kids movie not a movie for all ages like Shrek or Inside Out. I did get a few laughs as there were some good ones liners. Also, it takes storylines from several of the books so it moves really fast. My son loved it."
"This movie is pure unfiltered love, imagination, and creativity ❤️ Dog Man was a bit after my time. 😆😆😆😆 But I've always loved The Adventures Of Captain Underpants. The world and characters from wonderfully whacky mind of Dav Pilkey are brought to the big screen so beautifully and, most importantly, faithfully. The entire team at Dreamworks Animation did an amazing job! They really amped up the energy the books so very well. This might be one of the highest concentrates of cinematic ADHD / autism I have seen in a while. And I mean that as a compliment. I'm going to need at least four sequels to this! I loved everything about this from the potty humor to the heart. DreamWorks, please make some more!"
"I’m shocked on how good this film is. It’s funny, cute, and most importantly it’s entertaining. Yea it can be a bit corny but it’s a kid’s film so it gets a pass."

"Never read the comics, but my partner and I were tasked with taking their little siblings to watch in theatres. It's not my favorite as I'm clearly not the target audience, but it got a lot of good laughs out of us both, and I absolutely adored the villain. The visuals were spectacular, I love the comic effects in 3D form. Good movie for children, and it's not that hard to watch as an adult either. "
