"Pretty well done by Peter Jackson for a hard story to capture on film. I thought mark wall berg was miscast in this film. Stanley tucci was perfectly cast. And of course the amazing soarse ronin sorry spelling."

"A fantastic, heartbreaking, interesting, must-see premise, with great performances. I think it was slightly undercut by how hard the story can be to follow at times (timing is inconsistent, many subplots from the book are only implied or completely ignored in the movie). The depiction of heaven and the afterlife takes up a lot of this movies time and leaves very little time for the viewer to truly see the family moving on, growing up, mourning. I think the performances, while great, could've used more dialogue. Certain scenes needed more explanation. And while I enjoy the premise of the movie, major details are left out and only alluded to, which left me feeling a little unsatisfied, confused, and sad (disappointed) at the end. Overall, a very deep movie with so much potential and a few deeply beautiful and horrifying scenes. Could've been a 5 star movie with a few additional moments, more dialogue/explanation, a little more character connection and involvement from the main character (she spends most of the film lost in the afterlife, seemingly barely involved)."
"This movie is heartbreaking but the score is incredible."
