Horror in the High Desert

"Pretty slow in the beginning but gets a bit more interesting half way through or so . Pacing could’ve been better , because of the ending though I’d say maybe a 6.8/10"

"If I sat you down and said let's watch this documentary with no other information...you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This does indeed feel like a real documentary. As you watch the investigation unfold you get invested in what happend to Gary. However it's a little misleading to call it a horror movie. There is just one scary element/scene amd its intense but I wouldn't put this as a horror. Works very well as a mystery/thriller...worth a watch. "A seriously solid slow burn horror found footage / documentary. To be clear this is a 90% fictional documentary that turns into a somewhat found footage movie for the last twenty or so minutes so it’s a bit of a hybrid but it works beautifully within that structure. Is it scary? Yeah, the last ten minutes or so got under my skin big time but horror is so subjective that you may feel differently but what it did I thought it did extremely well. The story is intriguing and didn’t over stay its welcome one bit. Definitely check it out if you’re a fan of horror, found footage, or documentaries. Props to the director for making an intriguing story with realistic and likable characters. "
