"Casting aside the fact that this cute musical is based on Mozart's Magic Flute 🪈, this is basically a cute teen romance movie. The singing is pretty good, but for me, what makes this film truly appealing is the beauty of the set 🕯️ lighting. Some scenes look ethereal, and others dark and morose. The acting is fair, and there really isn't anything bad that happens to anyone; a happy sweet ending."
"A great fantasy musical film adaptation of the opera of the same name, with a twist and touch of Chronicles of Narnia. When a new student arrives at Mozart international school, he finds magic and a door to the world of The Magic Flute where he is taken through trials finding friendship and live along the way worth watching!"
"I didn’t realize this was a musical. The lyrics to the songs are quite pathetic. The “trials” the character has to face are quick and boring. The opera was kind of cool. Some talented singers here. They all were just not given a good platform to stand on. Some aspects of the movie are rather rude such as one of the characters soul mates being made to look ugly only to then craft themselves in their partner’s ideal image to be good lookin so that they will love them. "
"So many scenes were cut from the opera that the fantasy portion of the movie was nothing but confusing and weird. Tim's motivations were also super weak for him to be undergoing those perils, and his knowledge base was inconsistent as well. The singing was surprisingly good. The side stories were completely unnecessary and dramatic yet executed better than the main plot?"
