"This was less entertaining than scooby doo. The "bad guy" of the film had an extreme case of Chiari, which made me want to cheer for him. The funniest parts of the film were when it was supposed to be a serious moment, and Anthony messed up and smiled.
The film had a basic plot that was so easy to figure out. The "build up" if you can call it that was basically the whole film for a 5 minute, if that, dumb fight sequence. Think Hulk vs Thanos fight. It was just as lame.
I think superhero movies are just getting worse. "
"I wasn't really excited about this one, But knowing that Red Hulk was in this one, I was interested in watching. Visually it was ok, and action scenes were handled well, especially in the Hulk fight. Going into this one I wasn't expecting much, and it was mediocre, It actually gets going in the second half, it's said in the end credits saying Cap/Wilson will be back, either in Doomsday or Secret Wars, I'm very excited and looking forward to see both movies."

"I really like Sam Wilson as a character so it's fun to see him headlining Captain America: Brave New World. Anthony Mackie does a great job. Torres seems like he's having a great time and I like his dynamic with Sam. I was also pleased as punch with that one particular cameo (and good for him, too!)- and it seemed like the whole theater sat up a little straighter when he appeared. Plus, Harrison Ford does a great job as Thaddeus Ross - it's clear he's having the time of his life. While this isn't my favorite Captain America film since there's such a high bar especially with The Winter Soldier and Civil War, Brave New World is still a lot of action-packed fun that looks pretty darn good on the big screen. "The story is a bit disjointed all over the place. It references things from the Incredible Hulk movies and Eternals. Which makes me confused about the timeline in which this happens. This really feels more like a secret agent or super spy movie more than an all-out marvel superhero movie. There are all the secret double cross stuff you would find in a movie of this type. Sam Wilson does not take the super soldier serum and is a regular dude with a suit. Which is strange when you are pitting him against the Red Hulk. The big set pieces and the flying combat is fine. The special effects to fall apart with the Hulk parts. It looks like they just threw him in the environment and didn’t fix the lighting and composition. You just get the vibe this wasn’t all shot at the same time. It’s not horrible or anything. It certainly better than some of these other marvel movies and tv shows that have some out. Can’t help but feel like they should have updated the story to feel more like it was a part of the Marvel universe. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Movie Reviews with Clarence.
