"What a great animated adventure! It was nice to hear the voices of some actors that I lost track of over the years. Geddy Watanabe, of the movies "Sixteen Candles,"🕯️ and "Gung Ho," voices the role of professor Sato, or Ultraman's Dad. He has such a kind and wise voice. Tamlyn Tomita of the first "Babylon 5 movie, The Gathering," and "Karate Kid II," voices the role of Emiko Sato, Ultraman's mother. Ultraman, played by Christopher Sean, starts out at the beginning of the film as a very selfish person chasing a baseball career while also being a superhero. He tries to succeed at both roles, but finds that harder and harder to do during the course of the film. I really enjoyed the complicated relationship between he and his father, as well as the balance of the storyline, humor along with the action. The voice acting was great, and the movie definitely stands on its own two feet as a solid drama, animated or not. There is a post credits scene which seems to tease that a sequel will follow. If so, I can't wait! 😁"
"The final battle was meh, and I need an explanation as to h o w in Earths name Ken survived the explosion, but it was pretty good. I was rather confused as to the exact reasoning the dad had for leaving for 20 years (I don’t think the movie did a very good job at explaining why) but I looked it up on Wiki Fandom and now I understand. This is coming from someone who hasn’t known of this franchise’s existence AT ALL prior to this movie, so my opinion is rather restricted to this movie alone. The animation was stunning, though, and Ken’s character development was interesting to watch. He’s also hot. So. Yeah them’s my thoughts "
"Love this movie ♥️. My younger siblings were watching this and I wasn’t planning on watching it. Next thing I know they’re sleeping cause it’s their bedtime and I’m the only one watching it until the end while also crying at how sad and heartwarming this movie is 🥹. So glad I watched it (amazing animation too)"
