"20/10 ๐ So stinkinโ cute! Absolutely adorable! I cried, I laughed, I smiled! I was hesitant to watch this because I always cry with animal/cartoon movies because of the plots but I am so glad I saw this! I completely fell in love with Lyle and it truly does have some replicable life lessons! Please watch! ๐๐"

"Okay, that was cute. I remember seeing the poster for it when I went to see Avatar. My friend said it was a good movie, so when it came on Netflix, I checked it out. It is cute.
I really appreciated the fact that it didn't try to copy Air Bud in the plot department, which is exactly what I expected when it began. I thought it would follow that same route. Meaning his relationship with Hector was pleasantly shocking.
There was also the fact that everything felt very realistic with how people acted. Even the parents had the moment of "hey it is a crocodile" even after they accepted him. Which just felt very natural.
Then the only bad CGI was the cat's face half the time. Lyle himself was done exquisitely. Even when they hug him, it works. I found that impressive. I think it can be attributed to the lighting of the overall movie tho.
It's just a fun movie that you'll enjoy & maybe jam out a little too. It's no show stopper with the songs, but the singing is good. The songs somewhat make me want them, none excessively that I just have to have though. Both Lyle and Hectors voices are great, & I love when they sing together.
Now, for the true review with a little bit of spoilers.
1st off, it's kind of creepy with the way certain characters interact. For one, there's Lyle and Mrs. Pimm. No wonder the husband thought she was cheating on him for a moment. I thought she was, too. It was too weird & taken way too far. Maybe a kid won't notice, but I promise you, the parents & anyone over 12 will. There was also a bit of a weird pacing with the dialogue in certain moments with Hector & Josh near the end. Basically, I think they should have looked at it with a different perspective just to maybe tone down those creepy moments.
Secondly, it does go the cliche typical route with the famous pet wanting a family. Yet it was more understandable. Anytime Lyle responded, it was when he was shown love, so I enjoyed that.
Overall cute movie. Nothing outstanding. Loved that ending!"
