"I didn’t like this movie but I don’t think it has nothing to offer, in fact I think it has a lot to offer. The themes of war, suffering and the ever repeating nature of humanity to be very interesting I just didn’t like how it was offered to me. I think most of what I didn’t like had to do with pacing and brutality which was part of the point of the movie but it just drained me which is more of a me problem then the movies. The stop-motion was amazing and the music/sound design were really satisfying you can see the hard work put into everything and I can appreciate that. "
"Horrortober 2022 Day 17
When I saw this film on the Horrortober calendar I promise I was dreading this day. I had seen a few minutes before and thought it would be boring. But to my surprise I actually found this to be a very intriguing watch. It felt like I was inside somebody’s hellish little nightmare i was forced to watch. It's actually visually stunning and the creature designs are creative and unique. Tippet is a tenacious individual to create this film in the span of 30 years and still see it through. I can understand why some people won’t enjoy this because it doesn’t have a traditional narrative at all. Its really like looking threw a glass and just watching everything transpire. This is more so a visual piece of art then a well told story. While majority of the film is stop motion they do add a few live action scenes. I don’t have too many gripes in general. Although one scene in particular I felt could have been chopped was the creature carrying the crying baby. That was pure agony to sit there and listen to that lol. Other than that I enjoyed watching this dark sinister under world of nightmare fuel."

"It was just so utterly fascinating and eye-catching that- despite some of the gruesome imagery, I couldn't look away. It's no wonder it took so many years to make. And it's obvious that so much precious time and talent was poured into the making of this. I just wished I could have deciphered the plot on my own. I'm sure there was a ton of symbolism too but I'll have to research this movie after watching it."
"This movie was unlike anything I have ever seen. It was similar to "Stopmotion". However, it was mainly stopmotion animation for the majority of the film with very few scenes with real life portrayals. It was totally random but the scenes were all somewhat interconnected. Definitely worth a watch if you appericate stopmotion animation and obscure films."
