"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hey folks FYI this is not the Netflix series but a different HBO documentary that came out before that. It’s both an excellent and disturbing look at the festival that closed out the 90s in a similar way that Altamont closed out the 60s, disillusioned, disaffected and violent. After watching this one I don’t think I can put myself through the experience again by watching the Netflix version. The details are just that disgusting and sordid. You realize those guys in their teens and 20s then are the ones now in their 40s and 50s still the same angry, entitled misogynistic jerks doing their best to spread ugliness and hate. It confirmed Fred Durst is an asshole. But I think blaming baby boomers for the behavior of angry young white guys is pretty ridiculous. They deserve that credit all on their own. "
"I really enjoyed this doc for what I personally felt was an honest look at the darker sides of festivals, particularly this one as well as the culture & factors that helped to make it so. CW for assault & substance use #documentary #music #art #artists #festivals #culture #rock #performance #behindthescenes "
