"This early 70s blaxploitation film entertained me more than perhaps any other cop film that I have seen. The influence on Tarantino (who re-released it in the 90s) is quite clear as is the influence on cop films throughout the 70s and 80s. It is slow-paced, seemingly by design, with a number of twists and turns that you are rewarded for when paying attention. This film has one of the most insane chase scenes, it is a "very integrated operation." Some fans might fault it for some of its production shortcomings but overall this is a well acted, written, and directed film that I'll likely come back to again multiple times in the future."
