"One of those unexpected suspense drama movies that you don't forget about easily. One of the top movies I watched this year, and hoping for more collabs between Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson.
The visceral nature of having to deal with a nuclear power engine meltdown thousands of miles underwater is one to keep you shaking at your boots. It's even crazier to think that this story was based on a real-life event!
Great production and cast all around. Highly recommended!
"In American propaganda you will see how everyone has a car, nice clothes, a nice apartment. But you will never see the truth behind this lie. You will not see police dogs attacking strikers and demonstrators for civil rights. You will not see the beggars on the streets, the homeless, the *****-shantytowns in the south. You will not see the warmongers who threaten the world with nuclear holocaust."
It's also interesting to see how our perception of the future is rarely how it actually unfolds, especially regarding technological advancements. If it wasn't for greed and power, maybe we would all be living in a much more advanced and welcoming society. Idk. Doesn't matter."
"Not a bad submarine movie (from a submariner) with the notable exception of Harrison Fords ridiculous Russian accent. Honestly, I think that Sean Connery sounded more believable as a Russian in Red October. "
