In Japan, the vampire-hunter Saya, who is a powerful original, is sent by her liaison with the government, David, posed as a teenage student to the Yokota High School on the eve of Halloween to hunt down vampires. Saya asks David to give a new katana to her. Soon she saves the school nurse Makiho Amano from two vampires disguised of classmates and Makiho witnesses her fight against the powerful demon.

"Short and sweet. Doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Saya goes to Okinawa to do a job, kills some vampires, saves a bystander, then leaves. Not as bloody as I expected it to be. Can’t complain about it with the exceptional of the English dub which is strangely “off” at times. "

"A nice close to Halloween watch since this takes place on Halloween. Some nice action scenes and great animation throughout. Not for the little ones because of blood and language, this is one I watch every year. A must watch for animation buffs."

"After hearing a rumor that both the late Robin Williams and Hailey Williams (from Paramore) liked this movie, I decided to give it a shot. I was surprised at how short it was, but I found it a (slightly confusing) but overall really enjoyable watch and will definitely be checking out the rest of the Blood franchise. Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/10."

"This post is by way of an apology. I recommended, to several of you, "Blood+". That was in error. I have never seen Blood+. The movie I meant to recommend is the one shown above. I mistook Blood+ because the cover art reminded me of a scene in this movie.
The movie I meant to recommend is the story of an old full blood vampire that has found a way to survive in the modern world (post WWII Japan) by working for the American government hunting down and killing degenerate vampire that are a threat. There is some partial nudity and a lot of gore in this film.the story is engaging and the artwork outstanding. There is also a live action version I have not seen. If you like action, cute girls, vampires, and tasteful gore you will enjoy this anime.
Again, I am sorry to have misled people about Blood+. I have not seen it and have no idea what it is like. I have added it to my To Watch list and hope to see it soon.
