"Documentary which discusses the ship Endurance that got stranded in the ice off the coast of Antarctica in early 1900s. It discusses both the grueling condition and the survival of Shackleton and his crew against all odds. In conjunction with this, it chronicles the hard work of modern-day historians as they finally find the long list wreckage 100 years after it sunk. They have some pretty great footage of the ship where it sank. It was a bit of a slower boring watch, but it's still interesting. "
" Earnest Shackleton and his Antarctic exploration tale is fascinating! This Nat Geo special showcases original (yes, that’s correct- original) video footage from the Endurance (circa 1914ish) and tells the amazing story of survival of the crew while a modern day group of scientists search for the underwater remains of the ship! Will they find it? Watch to find out.
Plus, this documentary uses AI based on the real voices of crew members to read their respective journal entries to help narrate the story. Very cool! "
