"Champagne Sharks had an podcast where they were talking about how certain media is either high-context or low context when it deals with the culture of a specific group of people. Low context is the surface level stuff that general audiences can pick up on and high context are the things you’d have to be raised in to truly understand. This movie is an high context film but what’s interesting is that the protagonist is low-context due to her circumstances. And after all is said and done the housemate was right about her, she is a sad existence. "
