On a stormy night, young Jim, who transports a luxury car from Chicago to California to deliver it to its owner, feeling tired and sleepy, picks up a mysterious hitchhiker, who has appeared out of nowhere, thinking that a good conversation will help him not to fall asleep. He will have enough time to deeply regret such an unmeditated decision.

"Great suspense/horror thriller. Tommy Howell (from the 80’s) is great as the kindhearted driver who is stalked by the super crazed and creepy (but still hot) Rutger Hauer. I was looking for something scary since the countdown to Halloween has begun…and this classic hit the spot! HBO/Max"

"Shocktober 2024:
The concept of a killer who picks one person at seemingly random to psychologically torment and ruin has always been a trope that has interested me. And this movie does it incredibly well. Rutger Hauer makes for a fantastic slasher(?) antagonist and really gives a chilling performance. This movie has got a great tension to it, perfectly packed into less than 90 minutes.
I also liked this movies choice to be about a final boy instead of a final girl who is the mouse in the cat & mouse story. It gives the whole thing a distinctly homoerotic vibe (in the sense that all cat & mouse stories have a possessive, infatuation element to them). It's an interesting watch and I'm glad I watched it."
