"2.5 ⭐️ it kept my interest probably due to Willem’s acting but I do think it’s an unnecessary film. Also what on earth was with the 💩 shot. WHY was it so long?! So disgusting and added nothing to the film. "

"The set up of this one is pretty interesting...being trapped in a luxury high-rise apartment doesn't sound so bad but they quickly show how even the most posh surroundings can test your survival skills. Dafoe acts with himself for pretty much most of the film (like Hanks in castaway) and he does an excellent job. It is a one note plot and can a feel little long and boring. They could have shaved about 15 min off to tighten things up. Not bad...I think it's worth a watch for Dafoe and the concept. "This is a one man survival film (like Castaway, Oxygen, The Martian, All Is Lost, etc) about an art thief stuck in a seemingly inescapable penthouse that is being governed by a malfunctioning “smart house” system. It is, for all practical purposes, a one person film and Dafoe gets to really show the range of things he can do here. While it’s not a masterpiece, I’m perplexed by its low ratings (1.6/5 on Likewise and 5.5/10 on IMDb). Dafoe was really good, it had a unique setting for a survival film and enough twists and turns to keep me interested. 3.5/5"

"I knew what I was getting myself into with that said this was agonizing to watch. Willem Dafoe gave a great performance, It was a very self-reflective piece, blurring the lines between art and reality. The symbolism of the bird trapped in the balcony net, mirroring the protagonist's entrapment within the penthouse, and the art he created in attempting to break free while gradually descending into madness is what I would imagine the creative process of a ‘tortured artist’ to be like."
"This went over my head. I’d seen the trailers for this movie and was interested in checking it out. Months later I finally did. I don’t get what the movie was going for, and most the run time I was just confused, but it was great fun watching William Dafoe lose his mind for an hour and a half. Amazing acting by him, confusing and easily forgettable script/plot, and the directing/score was average. I’d advise skipping this one, as it’s definitely not good, but isn’t so bad that it’s enjoyable. It’s almost there though, and with the acting on display I could see how someone could find enough enjoyment in it to warrant a watch, just couldn’t recommend it myself. "
