Tribes

"A very 70's movie, although possibly more simple and direct than most. Conformism vs anti-conformism, war vs peace, society vs the individual, the impact of the individual on the group, the survival of the individual in the group, and without any surprise, in the end, no clear right choice to any of these. Despite all this, there is very little of the general malaise that will pervade so many similar movies later in the decade. Possibly because Tribes does not in anyway try to be educated, deep, or artsy? Definitely a plus in my book. Nonetheless, only 2 stars. Watch it only for a trip back to another era of movies."
