"I am only recommending this film because of how it looks. The producer made sure that each character seems to embody the 1940's era look and speech. But I must admit that some of the dialogue felt stifled, as if each was playing a caricature of a 1940's era movie star. The movie has a few good action sequences, and there is a genuine mystery to solve."
"I'm a sucker for modern 20th century period pieces. The accuracy on the set based on its time frame is good, and is expected since the crime took place in LA. The acting is good. Josh Hartnett and Aaron Eckhart a great job acting. Some surprising faces like Mike Starr who's known for playing the hitman on Dumb and Dumber also a great performer. Overall, 4/5."
