Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends

"3.5/5*s but rounding down instead of up because it's not quite good enough to be in the 4-stars ratings. This stand-up special is much better than his 2020 special (which I also rated here on Likewise along with his 2024 special, if you're interested in reading them), although that probably has a lot to do with him sharing the stage with several other really funny comedians. I must admit though, he seems to have his act more under control than his 2020 special. He isn't mumbling and bumbling his way through the whole thing and doesn't seem so awkward, uncomfortable, and unsure of how to do stand-up. It's possible he was just very stoned during the 2020 show, so there's that. As for the other comedians, my favorite was the only female, Carly Aquilino. As a female, I found her relatable and hilarious. I really enjoyed all the others, as well, but I wasn't impressed with MGK, the ending musical entertainment. I'm not sure why he's so popular, but that is based off of this live performance. Perhaps he's better in studio recordings. The opening musical entertainment, Big Wet (I mean, seriously...?!), wasn't too bad and much more fun than MGK. I am interested in looking into the other comedians from this special to see if there are any videos of their comedy performances. "
