"I really like the concept behind KAOS, but while I enjoyed this new #NetflixSeries, it left me wanting more in terms of narrative and character development. It’s definitely #creative and visually unique, though, with several moments that made me chuckle. Hopefully, if the series is well-received, we can expect deeper character development in S2. 🌟7/10🌟
▪️#KAOS is a #quirky, darkly comedic, and modern reimagining of Greek #mythology. It blends humor with contemporary twists on classic myths, exploring timeless themes like #power, #love, and #betrayal. The story centers around the #Greek gods, who, despite their immortality, are wrapped up in their own #dysfunctional family dynamics. At the heart of the plot is #Zeus, played by the ever-charming and #eccentric Jeff Goldblum, paranoid about losing his power after a prophecy foretells his downfall.

"3.75⭐️ KAOS reminds me of a cross between THE SANDMAN and GOOD OMENS .. only not as chilling or quite as dark as the former, and not as charming or quite as whimsical as the latter. In any case it clearly seems inspired by Neil Gaiman to me and *almost* like something he could’ve written. However, to get to his level I’m in complete agreement with @miaparker that this show lacks the cohesion and character development needed to feel connected to both story and characters. I do appreciate the innovation though and the modern reimagining of Greek mythology as an alternate reality where the “gods” are, or seem to be, the only theism in existence, and humans are ruled with the iron hand of a very real Zeus. Infused into it a fascinating rendition of dynastic power that seems awfully familiar to the power hoarders of our own world and one weird family in particular. I don’t know if anyone else saw it that way but it sure seemed super allegorical to me. Anyway it took me 4 episodes in to start feeling invested. The story kind of begins to hint at impending coalescence and *some* characters become a bit more sympathetic (none of them are up to this point). By the last episode it feels like that promise is just about realized. BUT we end on a cliffhanger (hah!). SO .. I’ll definitely be watching for a second season, which Netflix better do at very minimum to complete the story. Overall I think I ultimately enjoyed it. It’s incredibly creative, visually appealing, well acted with a cadre of legendary actors, and allegorically compelling in a way that does manage to connect with my sensibilities. "
"Sooo good. My favorite American actors and my favorite British actors had me positively giddy. Jeff Goldblum is amazing as a/the vengeful and all powerful Zeus. The storyline and plot here are gold. It's so perfectly and tightly written and literally every thing was wrapped up tightly by the last episode and I'm so pleased they left it open for a season 2! It's gritty, dark, comedic and entertaining! Every actor is giving top notch chops!"
