"+ An indepth look into the career of a man who lived his wrestling gimmick for over 30 years. This documentary is perfect for people who, like myself, watched his matches. He rarely if ever dropped his wrestling persona, but in the twilight years of his career allowed a documentary crew to film him on the road and at home, giving fans and long time admirers a glimpse into his private life. Speaking as a person who doesn't watch wrestling anymore, I found this five-part docuseries to be a fascinating look into the life and career of one of the most interesting figures out there. I tend to like real life stories of these performers and this delivers on nearly every level in that respect. Heartbreaking and heartwarming, a great tribute. Also the 24 minute segment that follows his stories on the road with little animated figures would make for a cool little show in its own right. They probably could have picked better stories... but it's a good idea.
- Some of these episodes (especially the last episode) from a technical stand point were too long. I'm all for showing this man the respect, but perhaps the editing could have trimmed some of it down. However, I doubt this would bother hardcore wrestling fans.
Overall: solid docuseries for anyone, but will definitely be loved and revisited over and over again by true fans."
