"Anachronistic samurai anime from Shinichiro Watanabe. It's heavily influenced by hip hop culture in a number of fascinating ways. The art is fluid and tonally appropriate. The jokes are consistently funny. There's a recurring theme of the historical oppression of the poor and minorities in Japan, which lends relevant drama to the episodes. Most of the episodes are largely self-contained, so there's not a lot of complex continuity to keep up with, just the central quest. Liked it more than Bebop."

All of it ties in really nicely and the art style itself is beautiful. Though, it is something I can just watch while multitasking - and it's not something that I'm always going to be on my toes for - I love it for that for being that."
