"This adult cartoon featuring Elvis Presley as a secret agent is just as crazy as it sounds. It was created by a Priscilla Presley, and she voices her own character in the series. Don Cheadle voices a main character, and he is clearly enjoying the role. Matthew McConaughey is executive producer, and voices Elvis. I am not keen on his voice for Elvis, but it makes sense because he is a southerner. I love that each episode winks 😉 at Elvis rumors and true stories of his career, such as the fact that he was so patriotic he really wanted to be part of President Nixon's Secret Agents. Elvis is at the pinnacle of his career in Las Vegas, and dealing with some inner demons. The series contains his actual songs and others of the period. You just have to see it -- it is hard to explain. Be warned:⚠️ This is definitely an adult cartoon. The animation reminds me of Archer. There is bad and coarse language, gore, and blood."
"This is comedy gold. A must for Elvis fans, if you’re cool with gory violence and stoner humor. They give all of Elvis’ vices geniusly to his sidekick monkey. That leaves a super cool super agent with a love for his family and his country. Co-created by Priscilla, who voices her own character, it makes fun at the rumors and events of the late 60’s early 70’s and leaves no one unscathed. A+ cast with co-producer McConaughey hilariously voicing the title character with Kaitlin Olsen the perfect spoil. The Elvis music alone is sublime. But I’m a little more than miffed that somehow I just heard about this two year old show last week. That seems almost impossible to me. And then to learn it’s already been cancelled. I’m downright disgruntled. "
"I have exactly two gripes with this show, and they have nothing to do with the cartoon gore and nudity OR the over-the-top sick and twisted humor and foul language.
Gripe #1: Matthew McConaughey does NOT sound like Elvis. He sounds like Matthew McConaughey. You eventually get used to Elvis sounding like Matthew McConaughey and even start to believe that Elvis has ALWAYS sounded like Matthew McConaughey. And once more for shits and giggles... Matthew McConaughey.
Gripe #2: The show was canceled after only one 20-25 minutes each, 10-episode season! I couldn't get into Archer at all, but this was comedy gold! I would have continued to gobble up every Matthew McConaughey sounding Agent Elvis episode!
Created by John Eddie and Priscilla Presley (who also voices herself in the show), this hilarious spoof on secret agents and all the ridiculous conspiracy theories and rumors about Elvis has an incredible cast of voices. My favorite is Kaitlin Olson as CeCe "with an e" because they gave her all the best lines. She's fkg awesome! She made me laugh hardest of all.
Some other greats are Johnny Knoxville, Niecy Nash, Don Cheadle, (not necessarily MatthewMcConaughey),
and of course, Priscilla Presley, who play the main cast, along with a chimp named Scatter, "voiced" by Tom Kenny, although he pretty much just screeches like a chimp.
A great cast of recurring characters helps to make this a perfect show (if you don't count a Matthew McConaughey sounding Elvis). Here comes some name dropping... Fred Armisen, Baz Luhrmann, Gary Cole, Ed Helms, Christina Hendricks, Simon Pegg, and Kieran Culkin, just to name a few.
If you haven't turned on your tv yet, I'm not sure what you're waiting for. C'mon now, git to gittin'!

"what can i say about this that hasn’t been said..very nostalgic adult anime about agent king Elvis & an obscure org named TCB (period 1968) that parodies Mission Impossible/James Bond spy movies w a bit of manchurian candidates mixed in. The violence is over the top like Tarintino movies but the attention to detail of the time is spot on , even Charlies girls & their hairy legs, lol I loved the whole series 10/10

"Archer: Elvis edition was definitely not on my tv bingo card but leave it to Netflix to keep you on your toes 🤣. As much as it came out of left field it doesn’t feel that way once you get into the fast witted dialogue, the star studded voice acting cast, and the fantastic animation. It’s entertaining, has a good overarching storyline and I mean it’s Elvis Presley who doesn’t love him 🤣. Hopefully this isn’t one of Netflix’s many one and dones cuz I want more 🔥. "
