"To describe this show in one word? Timeless. Dwayne McDuffie was a legend in the writing sphere, and his contributions to this shows maturity were bar none the best kids cartoons have ever gotten. Things like racism, homelessness, and dyslexia were handled so delicately and responsibly. In a day and age where political and societal issues are treated more like footnotes, a quota to be filled, Static Shock stood it’s ground at tackling these issues as a plot in a respectful manner. No bashing of other races or clear agenda, just the pure unconditional truth. In days like this, I think we need something like that more than ever."
