"I enjoy ALL the #HGTV programs, so the title of this one, UGLIEST HOUSE IN AMERICA, piqued my curiosity. The host of this show, “Retta,” who is a big, beautiful, & bubbly comedian is perfect for this show, with all her facial reactions & commentary to the disastrously ugly houses she tours — I wasn’t familiar with her, but #Retta is best known for her roles of Donna Meagle on NBC's Parks and Recreation and Ruby Hill on NBC's Good Girls.
All of these houses have features that are so hideous & gaudy, so it’s amusing & makes me laugh.
Surprisingly, this show is quite enjoyable & oddly entertaining because the people that invite Retta into their homes also think their homes are laughable, so they also chuckle right along with Retta.
Of course, all the home owners are competing to have their homes renovated for free & there is a professional interior designer co-host who is there to show & tell her vision of how she would redecorate & renovate their homes. 👍🏾👍🏾

"Super fun to watch!! Retta is a really good host and funny. I recently completed all episodes, and although ALL are good, it maybe seemed some of the homes in the last S5 were somewhat "more"--I think I liked the last season the most. These are homes all over the country, and it was cool to see some of these areas I had visited. Other shows similar to this and equally entertaining that I have watched in the past are: "Scariest House in America," of which two episodes are out at this time (a new episode comes out each Saturday), a good watch for around the time of Halloween. Retta is the host for this show as well. There's another show I watched before these called "Zillow Gone Wild," a similar format, showing wild and wacky homes. Jack McBrayer is the host, and it was equally entertaining. "
