"An incredible story from both a Jewish survivor & an SS major. The perspectives align perfectly together with the timeline, but the details of their life, their story was drastically different. With a heartbreaking ending, you see the hopeful future begin for main character Rudi. What a storm of emotions, and strike to the heart for every defeat and triumph he faces. A depth into the mind of a Nazi solider brings a personal outrage in myself. A classic I’ll hold dearly & highly recommend."
